What they aren’t telling you about Obama…
There is a news report making its way through the mainstream media and racing around the blogosphere that John McCain is pulling his troops out of Michigan. The story is true. And on it’s face, it sounds dire and devastating… It happens in presidential campaigns–especially as you draw closer to election day and each side reexamines their resources and strategy on virtually a minute-by-minute basis.
But what many people are neglecting to include in the story–or conveniently forgetting to mention, is that earlier in the race, Barack Obama quietly abandoned his efforts in Alaska, Georgia, and North Dakota–and that was after bragging about running a 50-state campaign.
But you probably didn’t read that story anywhere in the liberal mainstream media news reporting now did you? And the Obama-obsessed bloggers on DailyKooks, er, um, DailyKos, and the horrid and pathetically partisan Huffington Post aren’t about to mention it because it doesn’t promote their perverse political agendas nor fuel their manufactured anger.
In the coming days leading up to the election you can rest assured that the nuttiness, the nastiness, and the baseless accusations from the left will multiply by a factor of one-million–or so it will seem. The Democratic Party partisans are hell-bent on propelling Obama into the White House, at all costs, through any means.
But don’t ever expect them to tell you the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. When it comes to getting Obama’s empty suit into the White House, truth has absolutely no place in the Democratic Party playbook.

No. We probably didn’t read about. Because none of those states are as important electorally as Michigan. I also don’t know what the state of play one way or the other is in Rhode Island. Maybe the mainstream media should be telling me.
Michigan is lucky. Now if we could just keep the mentally disturbed John McCain out of Nevada!
Dear Jeanie:
When you post such a ridiculous remark as “mentally disturbed” I can only assume you do so from the stance of “It takes one to know one.”
The dry and dreary desert seems like a perfectly logical place for you to be.
Huffington Post reported the pull of the ads in Alaska, Georgia, Montana, and North Dakota (as well as Virginia and North Carolina where he has since redoubled his efforts) on August 22. CNN and the AP reported a further withdrawal by the Obama campaign from North Dakota on September 22. ABC reported the Obama campaign had crossed off Georgia and Alaska on September 21.
These articles and events were also picked up by the New York Times, the Washington Post, and all other newspapers that some deem as liberal bastions. I could go on, but you get the point.
Dear goneshiny:
I see… It’s only important if it paints the McCain campaign in a bad light, is that what you have us believe? How shallow… Hard to believe that you find that empty-suit Obama attractive. Are you by chance a “journalist”? You’re obviously qualified to be an anchor at CNN, NBC, CBS, ABC, or MSNBC.
And I suspect the mainstream media can’t tell you anything. You clearly already know it all. Perhaps if Obama does drop Biden from the ticket he can tap you as replacement.
Dear Plaidlemur:
Oh, wait, you’ve changed my mind… Those are all fair, unbiased, non-partisan, independent, level playing fields for today’s politics. How foolish of me to think otherwise. Clearly I was off-base in thinking they haven’t been just as hard on Barack Obama as they have been on John McCain.
You have jogged my memory… I now remember the screaming headlines reading OBAMA BAILS OUT… Not sure how I could have forgotten that.
How interesting to know that you just happened to have that information so handy at your fingertips… (It’s nice to know that the Democratic Party Opposition Research and Response Team reads my blog.)
Obama plans!
Africa/MDGs; his heart and mind tell him he should do more. He is committed to doubling the US aid budget by 2012, and says he will “capitalise a $2 billion Global Education Budget” to address the global education deficit. But he won’t want to be pigeon-holed as too focused on Africa; and this has not – despite Susan Rice’s influence – come through as a major campaign theme.
Good post and truthful bolsonon, I found this information on a UK news site and the url is over on my blog! This don’t sound to good for our money to be gave to the countries overseas while we’re having market problems here! Keep up the good work, McCain/Palin has not lost yet!
I watched the debate last night – Sarah Palin was right on! Biden was Biden – a little charming, a little stuffy, a little Obama. He came across as a little woeful with regard to the way his ticket reads – Obama/Biden instead of Biden/Obama.
I am continually amazed that so many people look to Obama as their “Saviour” as I thought Jesus was our Saviour. Course, History is filled with those individuals who positioned themselves as ’saviour’ only to destroy their own country as well as wreak havoc on the world.
gracias Roberto. esta es la razón por la cual leí sus artículos. Usted es siempre justo e imparcial. Muy bien.
So, why are you so angry? Just admit that your party… the party of the haves and have mores… – in case you haven’t noticed, you don’t belong in either category – has ruined this country and the economy. They now have a simpleton for a VP candidate and a man who has lost his honor in his quest to become president on top of the Republican ticket. I’m sure you can identify with Ms. Palin for obvious reasons. Please rely on facts and stop repeating the McSame talking points. 8 Years of mismanagement and immoral pillaging of our Country and McSame sings the same old song. It is tired, old and it has to go!!!! OBAMA 08!!!!
I read with interest this post. You spoke of fairness, and it was obvious from what you’d written…at least you weren’t into name calling. Then…I read some of your comments to those that were of a differing opinion. That’s where I saw the sarcasm.

I agree that for one to call anyone “mentally disturbed” is not the better part of wisdom, yet, you answering “When you post such a ridiculous remark as “mentally disturbed” I can only assume you do so from the stance of “It takes one to know one.”
The dry and dreary desert seems like a perfectly logical place for you to be.”

These kind of statements draw you into the fray. My guess would be, that was not your intention.
For over thirty years I was a Republican. I don’t mean with just my vote, but with “boots on the ground”…fundraiser, speaking to local groups (I arranged my furloughs home as much as possible around campaigns and elections), manning the phones…and attended campaign rallies to which I’d been personally invited.
However, these last eight years my eyes were opened and my checkbook closed. When I returned to the USA permanently (late 2005)…it was as if I landed on a different planet.
Michelle
Dear Ournationfirst:
Yada, yada, yada my left-wing friend… Nice job of ticking off so many of the Dim-ocratic Party’s tiresome talking points. We get it… Republicans are evil… Democrats are going to take care of you… Obama is our saviour… We’ve heard it all before. Congratulations on your stellar performance as a liberal political poll parrot. And your tedious tongue-wagging attacks on McCain and Palin are typical, expected, and enlightening as to your immaturity and ignorance. Isn’t there a tree you somewhere you should be hugging, or a “Hate America/Down with Authority” rally you should be attending?
Don’t trip over your Birkenstocks and Dreadlocks on the way out.
Dear Michelle2005:
Thank you for feedback. So let me get this straight… You were a Republican for 30 years but because of the past eight years you’re ready to jump ship rather than working from within to steer the party where you think it needs to be?
Neither party is perfect nor the same party they were a decade ago, and definitely several decades ago. And neither party has a higher moral ground to stand on with respect to blame for the current economic situation. In my opinion, Barney Frank, Nancy Pelosi, and Harry Reid should be banished to a small isolated island in the South Pacific for their asinine antics.
The world is definitely changing and the challenges for the next four years are daunting. So it boggles my mind how any reasonable, intelligent, informed voter could even for a moment consider sending Barack Obama and Joe Biden to 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. Neither is qualified to run a hot dog stand, much less be president/vp. Hot air, hype, and hysteria are hardly the way to handle the issues facing our country.
Shouldn’t you be at your anger management class with Sen. McCain? Try using facts and intellect in your arguments and you might have better luck of convincing people of your outdated and irrelevant ideas.
Great retort… I’m heading over to the burn unit right after this… Wow, I never expect much from an Obama Kool-Aid Slurper, and I’m never disappointed. Here are a few facts for you:
Barely Obama has no record of real accomplishment in his career.
Barely Obama is not ready to lead this country and is an empty suit.
Biden has been wasting time in the Senate since NIXON and is a waste and a joke. (Talk about outdated…)
Obama is not qualified to work the front gate at the White House, much less be president.
Democrats are so desperate to win the White House they will say or do anything and stoop to new lows–even for them–to grab power.
The mainstream media is so far in Obama’s back pocket, they know every item in his wallet.
I harbor absolutely no anger whatsoever but I am not going to stand-by smiling while a bunch of blow-hard bleeding-heart liberals spread their political poison. That’s also a fact.
Harvard Law Grad.not bad, your guys hanging on Bidens shirtail buddy. Whos facts? (yours).who the hell are you? I shall not insult you again you cant help your mind set. Hows it feel to know that McCain/Palins not going to make your dreams come true? Now you know what the rest of us have been feeling for years.Never heard you guys bitch about the media when Bush was lying threw his teeth about how great the country was doing,of course folks like you ,Bush ,McCain & his money mama who have millions could care less. They dont have a clue how middle America lives. If were liberals you guys are in a H— of a lot of trouble, trillons of dollars in debt, war, thousands out of work, health care in shambles, OMG the list gos on & on. Please dont fell bad youll just have to get used to having an empty suit as president, cause there going to WIN, no doubt about it. You really should try watching something besides the very red fox news. Oh yes,i also like kool-aid its pretty good stuff even at my age.
Thanks for your response. What you have listed are your hate filled opinions and not fact. I would continue this but you are so far lost in your anger that there is no having an intelligent conversation with you. You are precisely the type of person Sen. McCain was targeting when he appointed Palin.
The fact is that the Republicans have made mistake after mistake during the last 8 years. Their ideas are outdated and irrelevant. It is time for a real change and not Sen. McCain’s fluff. God bless America and save us from such unpatriotic ideas.
LOL… michelle2005, plaidlemur & ournationfirst nailed it!
I’m beginning to think some left-leaning people visit here just for the laughs.
I’ll be back later to see the character smears and the clever names you’ve called me. ; )
I have heard about this, and it’s all over the net:
http://www.google.com/search?q=obama+pulling+out+of+alaska&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a
Huffingtonpost did mention it:
Huffington Post? Is that banal and boorish Web site still active? Difficult to comprehend anyone would actually read that drivel…
Dear RuinousRight:
There’s only one real reason “left-leaning” people routinely visit here. You and I both know that deep down they realize just how much they crave the education, the enlightenment, and the nirvana that occurs when ignorance ends and illumination begins. Those beyond leaning left–the fallen–slither in to get out of the cess pool that is their life… Whether they choose to evolve or not is up to them. If not, there is always plenty of openings at CNN, MSNBC, Washington Post, etc.
Smear you? Never my friend. You have me confused with a Democrat.
Dear OurNationFirst:
Congratulations… You ticked over every amateur attack word in the Democratic Party handbook. Just curious, when the Obama camp picked you up earlier today to register you to vote, were you at a homeless shelter, soup kitchen, or drug-rehab center?
Dear Joy:
I won’t even begin to address your ridiculous ranting. Shovel it over at DailyKos or HuffingtonPost. It’s tiresome, tedious, and truly juvenile. Proof-positive that you can still be inmature–even at your age.
Here’s a brain-twister for you: Were you better off two years ago or today? Two years ago being when the Democrats took control of Congress. Refrain from foolishness and try to answer me with ONE thing that same group of goofballs has accomplished during that two years? I’ll wait…
Please, be as Barney Frank, as you would like…
Aaaahhh….”cess pool that is my life… I need to evolve.”
No smear there at all…. not to mention the smears of other commenters before and after my own comments…. LOL!
You are indeed a treasure Mr. Bolsonon. A gift that will not stop giving. A demonstration of the ignorance and pompous attitude SOME on the right so clearly demonstrate.
Dear Ruinous Right:
A smear is saying something untrue. Pegging you for what you are is merely easy observation and calling a dog a dog. ’nuff said.
Dear Bolsonon;
The answer to your Question is iam better off today, sold a luxury home, cashed out stocks, invested in bonds, bought & paid cash for a smaller home and dont owe one cent to a credit card co. Iam doing great. Eight years of Bush & six years of a republican congress come on,you think this mess were in was caused by a Dem.congress thats only been in office for two years, this mess has been brewing for a long time.We each need to take care of our own house, and President Bush & company have done a lousy job taking care of the big house, you know it & the rest of the country knows it ,your only fooling yourself young man. As far as the media is concerned, well lets be honest & start facing facts, msnbc—far left, fox news—far right ,cnn shows both sides, ive watched them all & sometimes when things dont go (your way )you choose to watch the station that share your opinions.
HOW ABOUT A FRESH THOUGH FOR A CHANGE, INSTEAD OF SPENDING ALL OF US FOOLS MONEY ON SLANDEROUS CLAIMS OF THE OTHER PARTY, THEY BOTH ARE ALLOTTED EQUAL TIME FOUR OR FIVE TIMES DURING THE CAMPAIGN SEASON AND THE HUGH AMOUNTS OF MONEY THAT IS SPENT ON LIES AND EXAGERATION ARE DONATED TO A FEDERAL COLLEGE FUND THAT WOULD PROVIDE AN EDUCATION FOR MILLIONS OF DESERVING YOUNG PEOPLE INSTEAD OF THROWING IT AWAY TO TELL FALSE TALES AND EXAGERATIONS ABOUT OTHER PARTIES. STOPPING A WORTHLESS WAR AND ADDING THAT MONEY TO THE POT WOULD ALSO SERVE A NOBLE CAUSE FROM WHICH WE ALL WOULD PROFIT
Dear joy:
Your use of all CAPS on your comments makes it more difficult to read your ridiculous rants. Knock it off.
I didnt do it honest,my 13 year old granddaughter did,she rants pretty good for her age, another democrate in the making, you betcha,by golly.
I haven’t been able to get back to your site long enough to leave an additional reply. You said to me, “Thank you for feedback. So let me get this straight… You were a Republican for 30 years but because of the past eight years you’re ready to jump ship rather than working from within to steer the party where you think it needs to be?”
—————–
I most certainly DID try to work within the party to facilitate postive change. It seemed fruitless, as their course was set. This is only my opinion, yet, it seems the way Karl Rove does business was the way the RNC decided to go.
Due to the fact I was outside the USA for so long…then returned (permanently) the negative changes were stark in contrast to the way they had been within the RNC. If you feed someone little by little…even if it’s something you know they don’t like…eventually they’ll begin to like it. They’ll see it as “normal”.
Well…what I see now is most definitely not the normal way the RNC at one time operated.
__________
You also stated (regarding Senator’s Obama & Biden)…”Hot air, hype, and hysteria are hardly the way to handle the issues facing our country.”
__________
I couldn’t disagree with you more. Apparently we are refering to two different candidates…. This is the Senator Obama that Colin Powell just endorsed…isn’t it?
Michelle
